Often people ask us, how can I help Fish Camp, an organization that gave so much to me? We’re so glad you asked! There are 4 major ways your gifts can make a HUGE impact on the Class of 2022!

1) Freshmen Scholarships
– Our freshmen scholarship endowment ensures that freshmen in need will be able to attend camp for years to come. Your gifts here make a BIG difference in the lives of a handful of Aggies in need, as these funds send freshmen to camp who otherwise could not afford to attend. Make a lasting gift to the Aggie Family by becoming a perpetual donor!

2) Camp Operations
-Making Fish Camp happen is a huge undertaking. Large equiptment and supplies must be replaced regularly, due to wear and tear. Your gifts  here make a small difference in the lives of all new Aggies coming to camp, as these funds help decrease the overall cost of running Fish Camp.

3) In Kind Gifts
-Does your company or organization have items or services that Fish Camp uses such as catering, screen printing, or dry cleaning (this is NOT an exhaustive list)? Do you have access to once in a lifetime experiences or items we could aution off at our annual fundraiser gala? Do you have access to a space we could use for an event for free? Could you donate your time as a speaker at one of our trainings? Your in kind gifts to our organization are acknowledged as sponors through our sponsor recognition program, noted below.

Please email the Director of External Relations at to discuss your ideas and find a way to make your gifts make a difference for Fish Camp and the over 6,000 new Aggies we transition every year!

4) Sponsorships

-In addition to in kind donations, companies and organizations can give a monetary gift to Fish Camp that will provide them various levels of recognition based on the gift amount, such a logos on our send off T-shirt and on our Freshmen mailers.
Please email the Director of External Relations at to give and discuss ways we can help promote your business through Fish Camp!

5) Membership Scholarships
– Our Fish Camp Membership Endowment ensures that our counselors and co-chairs can earn scholarships to pay their membership dues for years to come. These gifts encourage members to apply without worry of a financial burden, and allows the best possible people to be selected to help transition in the freshman class.

Follow this link, under “Designations”, select “Contribute to a fund not listed online.” Then scroll to the “Gift Fund Name or Number” and enter “Fish Camp Membership Endowment.”

Why Your Gift Matters

Fish Camp is the largest student-run extended orientation program in the nation. Last August, we transitioned over 6,000 freshmen into college and the Aggie Family, and this number will only continue to grow as we strive to serve a growing portion of the incoming freshman class! As our capacity expands, so do the expenses associated with facilitating camp.
Fish Camp receives more than 700 freshman scholarship applications each year. Need-based half and full scholarships are offered to students, as we have the funds available. Over 200 students have been turned away from camp for the past two years because they were unable to pay and we had no more scholarship money to offer. Your gift can change this!  Donations of ANY size help us offer more scholarships, which enable more freshmen to attend camp!

Contrasting many other university orientation programs in the nation, Fish Camp is planned and executed by student volunteers. These volunteers pay membership dues to cover their own at-camp costs and identifying apparel, and they often pay out of pocket to provide materials for at-camp activities. Please help support the selfless-service of these Aggies. If you have other ideas on how to give or would like to talk about planned giving from your estate, please email the Fish Camp Advisor, Donna Lee Sullins, at

Special thanks to our Fish Camp 2016 sponsors for helping us transition the class of 2020 into A&M!
